Project Description
IP has recently published their Case Study Book with the objective of expanding market exposure. The Case Study Book showcases their featured projects across the globe, providing potential customers with a heightened sense of trust and current customers with the latest technological advancements
Objective
To increase engagement and generate leads through the following strategies:
-
Create a landing page on the existing website that provides users with a preview of the Case Study Book to pique their curiosity and encourage them to fill out a required form.
-
Develop limited content on the landing page to give users a glimpse into the featured projects, thereby building trust and encouraging them to download the full Case Study Book.
-
Sent users who submit the form with a transitional email that includes a download link and contact details for requesting a physical copy of the Case Study Book.
-
Develop individual project pages on the existing website for four of the featured projects to provide additional information and increase engagement with potential customers.
These strategies will help to increase user engagement, generate leads, and build trust in potential customers, thereby expanding market exposure and ultimately driving business growth.

_________
Context
In an effort to expand market exposure and generate leads, we utilized various strategies to promote Case Study Book. These strategies include the following three situations:
Situation 1:
IP deployed a targeted email marketing campaign to their database, introducing the Case Study Book and including a link to the Case Study Book landing page.
Situation 2:
Potential and existing users who visit IP's website are presented with a pop-up link on the homepage, which directs them to the Case Study Book landing page.
Situation 3:
When potential and existing users visit IP's website and view any of the featured projects from the Case Study Book, a link is provided on the project page, encouraging them to request the full Case Study Book or directing them to the Case Study Book landing page.
Journey map
Created a journey map that outlines the user experience of engaging with IP's Case Study Book through 3 situations above. These include targeted email campaigns, pop-up links on the homepage, and featured projects on the website.
Each touchpoint presents an opportunity to build trust and encourage users to download the full Case Study Book, driving engagement and generating leads. Our strategic UI/UX design ensures a seamless and engaging user experience throughout the journey."

Through our journey map, we gain a clear understanding of how many pages we need to design and what the purpose of each page is. The map also highlights any gaps in content and outlines specific actions that IP needs to take to facilitate a seamless user experience.

UI/UX Design
Visual design:
featured prominent CTAs that followed the branding guidelines by using primary colors. The overall design carried the brand styling to create a professional and recognizable experience for the user.

Responsive design:
The goal of each layout was distinct, with a focus on visual impact for the desktop and tablet layouts, optimizing the read flow for the responsive layout. The approach was tailored to ensure an engaging and user-friendly experience across all devices.

Interactive:
The goal of this section was to showcase a limited amount of content to spark user curiosity.
The slider feature was implemented to enable quick content switching, with a scale animation triggered upon hover to draw attention to clickable images.

The page selection process was conducted thoughtfully, with a focus on identifying the most relevant and engaging content to meet the needs and interests of the user.

Card sorting:
The thumbnail image was designed to convey two key messages - the outcome of the project and the underlying process. To achieve this, a hybrid image was adopted featuring a blend of project images and diagrams/mockup/draft.

To minimize visual fatigue on the responsive layout, the project information was positioned on a black bar with two projects per row.

Interactive:
To highlight the design process and spark user interest, a slider feature was implemented to showcase the process of each component from its draft. This feature enables users to easily slide through and view each step, ultimately encouraging engagement with the full content to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project.

What I've learned
Throughout the IP project, I learned to approach the project by first gaining an overall understanding of the objectives and desired outcomes. From there, it was important to define the problem at hand and identify areas where there were gaps or areas of improvement.
In order to create a successful user flow & UX, collaboration with different teams was crucial.
This involved working with both the design and development teams to figure out how to make the idea come to life in a way that met user needs and business objectives. This required effective communication, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to adapt and make changes as needed.
Overall, the ip project taught me considering variant situations for users. This involved thinking about different scenarios and use cases, and how the product would need to adapt to meet the needs of users in each situation, as well as the need for collaboration and flexibility in order to create a successful product that meets the needs of both users and the business.
